Advanced Massage Therapist, Mary Self, LMTM coined the term “Intuitive Therapeutic Massage” to describe her unique skills developed over a 20-year career, blending traditional learning with cosmic insights. Some of these modalities include deep tissue techniques such as neuromuscular release, trigger point release, and sports massage; while myofascial release, Thai massage, and Swedish massage often fall under the medium to light pressure touch. Before each session, a consultation will assure you that your needs for relaxation and/or pain relief will be appropriately addressed. Everyone is different so your Intuitive Therapeutic Massage will be applied within your comfort level.

Advanced Spot-Treatment Massage

With the use of Coaching The Body protocols Mary Self, LMTM provides amazing results through spot on effective pain relief treatment. This treatment addresses specific muscle and joint pain through a fully clothed, non-oiled bodywork massage typically resulting in pain-free joint movement and relief.

Thai Massage

Thai massage is performed while the client is fully clothed and on a cushioned mat on the floor. Mary stretches muscles and removes trigger points using not only hands and elbows but feet, knees, and body weight. A conscious effort is made to make sure pressure meets clients’ preferences.

Basalt Hot Stone

This deep heat massage is very relaxing and soothing for the body and mind. Smooth, volcanic stones are oiled and heated, then used to massage the entire body, promoting deep relaxation of muscles and tissues. Heat preferences vary greatly among different clients. Special care is taken to ensure that the stone temperature is comfortable, soothing, and relaxing.

Prenatal Massage

Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy.
